Escritorio Estacio, S.C., is one of the most prestigious and oldest attorney firms in Venezuela.
Founded initially as “Lovera & Estacio” in October of 1943 by Virgilio Lovera and Jesús María Estacio, the latter being the late father of our current President and Managing Partner, Omar J. Estacio and our General Manager, Economist Tibisay Estacio, and late grandfather to our current Director, Gabriel Arroyo Estacio and our Marketing Director, Belén Estacio.
Our team specializes in defense cases at a national level, as well as in international organisms, in the areas of human rights, political crimes and freedom of expression processes, standing out among some of our defendants are senior officials of the Republic of Venezuela, heads of international organizations, journalists, publishers and companies owning newspapers and publications.
Our headquarters are in Caracas, Venezuela, and in 2010 we opened a branch in Coral Gables, Florida in the United States, mainly to cater to the large population of Venezuelans who live there.

The Escritorio Estacio S.C. team of attorneys, led by our President and Managing Partner, Omar J. Estacio, has defended or provided legal counsel, amongst many other cases and processes, to Carlos Andres Perez, President of Venezuela (1974 – 1979, and again 1989 – 1993); Octavio Lepage, President of Venezuela (1993) and Minister of Interior Relations (1995); Diego E. Arria, President of The United Nations Security Counsel (1990) and Governor of Caracas (1993 – 1994); Alfredo Peña, Mayor of Caracas (2000 – 2005); and Antonio Ledezma, the current Mayor of Caracas; as well as the newspapers “La Razón,” “Diario de Caracas” and “Correo del Caroni.”
Ese, mismo TSJ, que tan alto, valora a Cabello, en Sala Político Administrativa, SPA, el 16 de diciembre de 2009, sentencia 01818, ordenó a la “C.A. Energía Eléctrica de la Costa Oriental” resarcirles el daño moral a unos inconsolables padres por la pérdida de su hijo. Un niño, venezolano, de ocho años, que murió electrocutado a causa de la, holgazanería, negligencia, zanganería, la corrupción -sobre todo corrupción- de la referida empresa del Estado, porque esta última, según se lee en la propia sentencia, había sido requerida, varias veces, por numerosos vecinos, antes de la tragedia, para que adoptase las medidas urgentes que hubiesen impedido el terrible infortunio. Ante la brutal depreciación del bolívar, convertiremos, en lo adelante en el presente artículo, a dólares americanos, las insignificantes indemnizaciones por daño moral otorgadas por el TSJ a los venezolanos de a pie, a lo largo de estos últimos años.
